Moon conjunct North Node

As the media showed us these last few days, combats in the Gaza Strip killed hundreds of people. Alas, human conflicts in many regions of the globe are not close to being solved. Peace is like balance; very unstable, subject to pressures, adverse conditions and to many concessions that many of us cannot admit nor accept to make… Religion is too often at the root of reprisals. Why do humans base their theory on sacred texts to kill one-another mercilessly? Is God, if he (she, it?) exists, delighted to witness the massacres perpetrated here and there around our planet? Mankind is still so near to the barbarism it showed at the dawn of its evolution. Since Homo sapiens exist, it has regularly gone to war to impose its superiority or its relative and very debatable intelligence to its neighbours.

This is an old debate, but I note once again to what extent cosmic energies manipulate people’s minds behaviour patterns. The brief analysis of the New Moon chart (click here if you want to download a copy of it) announced risks of uprisings, wars, and other somewhat extremists human reactions. The conjunction Sun/Moon/Mars/Pluto would not pass without causing some noticeable damage. In Europe, it is the return of the very cold weather and in Australia, where I am at the moment, the weather is increasingly hot!

Today, the Moon is in Aquarius, where it will rejoin successively with Chiron, Neptune and Venus between today and tomorrow in the evening. This morning, it will pass on the Northern Lunar Node, which means that it will be on its orbit at the Northern point of crossing with the ecliptic. The Lunar Nodes are determined by the points of crossing of the ecliptic (the orbit of the Earth around the Sun) and of the orbit of the Moon around the Earth. See the small drawing below for better understanding.

In karmic astrology, the Northern Lunar Node represents “that towards which we must tend” to extract ourselves from the unconscious bonds that impose us all kinds of harmful reactions in connection with major motivations issued from our past incarnations. The passage of the Moon on this point of energy should thus make it possible today for many people to become aware of what is good and of what should be done to improve their situation durably. It will be perhaps for example the moment chosen for a cease-fire between Israel and Palestine, with true solutions found to the problems in the region. I wish it is, for all these poor people who suffer from the effect of hatred without necessarily cultivating that feeling at all…

In tomorrow’s article I will discuss a little more the influence of this lunar transit on each sign of the zodiac. 2008 is about to end. Many of us are going to celebrate the advent of 2009. At midnight GMT on December 31 (or 0 hour on January 1) a particular astrological chart will mark the birth of the year. I will analyze it in a special New Year article not to be missed!

Meanwhile, I remind you of the Christmas promotions. Offers end on December 31, so don’t delay! Click HERE to find out more.

Take care and, until tomorrow, “be good”!

Kind regards,

Roland Legrand
