Astrology for a Better Life

Text Box: The practice of Tarot is far more recent than that of Astrology. It is, never-the-less, very popular and, I find, a very efficient way to predict future events.
The symbolic of Tarot relies on basic concepts depicted in allegoric forms on the cards. Each one corresponds to a particular energy in presence at the time of the draw. Interpreted according to a complex set of rules, the cards give precious information about the person’s state of mind and the events surrounding his or her life.
The key-factor behind the effectiveness of the draw resides in the unconscious choice of the right card. Each card seems to be chosen by chance, but is in fact attracting the person’s hand by its particular energy field.
I read some years ago the results of tests carried out under strict control. Volunteers were placed under hypnosis in lethargic state and then asked to pick out particular cards from a set that had been spread out, face down, on a table.
To the request “ace of spades” or “King of Hearts” the hypnotised person invariably selected the right card. The report concluded by admitting that each card, like colours, have a special vibration that can be picked up and recognised by the subconscious mind.
As strange as these conclusions may seem, that study lead me to believe that we all know the answers to our most important questions. That’s why we influence the draw of cards and that’s why the answers we get are so often a reflexion of what we feel, hope or fear deep down in a mysterious and subtle way.
The philosophy of Tarot relies more on the “help yourself” solution than on the idea of uncontrollable fate. The meaning of each card is a message that has to be decoded by the Tarot reader and blended in with the person’s situation or question.
Using Tarot therefore, allows to bring back to the conscious mind what the unconscious mind keeps locked for whatever reason it may have. Il think that Tarot and Astrology complement one another, although Astrology is more rigorous in the sens that it is not influenced by any subconscious activity, but is only based on precise astronomical calculations. Except, perhaps, in the case of horary astrology, a method that can be used on the “spur” of moment, just like a draw of tarot cards.
